When it's needed

The industry standard for water damage defines water categories and classes, which shape how affected materials are handled.[W-01]

What's included

  • Measurement locations, the instrument and mode used, conditions, comparative observations, images, limitations, and recommended follow-up.

What helps us quote it

  • The loss history, affected materials, any drying done so far, access, and what the report will be used for.

See preparing for your inspection.

Limits

Thermal images are read together with other observations and measurements; they are not direct proof of hidden mold.

We do not use a single test result to assign a water category or to declare a space safe.

Your report

We explain the findings and the limits of the inspection. Most reports are ready within about a week. If samples are sent to a lab, it's an accredited lab; standard turnaround is typically 3–5 business days, and we generally complete and review your report within 24–48 hours of receiving the lab results. Payment is required before the report is released. These are typical timeframes, not guarantees. Lab schedules and holidays can affect them, and we'll keep you posted if anything changes.

See understanding your report.
